Speeding up Projects

If you have a project that is going to finish too late and that needs to be significantly accellerated because it is crucial to your strategy, this service may be what you need.

How does it work?

I interact with the existing project team through a workshop and meetings, leading to a modified Project Plan that is recognized by the team to be more robust and quicker. Total effort is of the order of days or one week, not months. Next, the project team can proceed autonomously with the execution of this plan as they agreed to it.

The approach is based upon Goldratt's Critical Chain, first published in 1997. This methodology is recognized by scholars to be a major breakthrough in the area of project management, yet it is rather unknown in the project management community despite its ability to significantly improve project lead times.

I applied the critical chain approach on the development of ESA's first small satellite Proba (the development from scratch up to launch in less than half the normal time: from 1998 to 2001).

I refined a specific process based on Critical Chain to accelerate and derisk projects that was also part of my course given at the University of Antwerp Management School from 2006 to 2010

I introduced/applied this approach at B&A Systems, OIP and Barco, by modifying existing Project Plans in few days into shorter durations.
